What is the difference between the 12V and 48V JellyFish systems?
Both use the same lights, colors, patterns and app. The 12V system suits most homes and handles dormers, gables and tight layouts easily. The 48V system is built for large homes and long continuous runs, keeping brightness even over distance with fewer power connection points. We recommend one during your free estimate.
What light spacing should I choose?
JellyFish offers 6, 9 and 16 inch spacing. Nine inches is the most popular choice and resembles traditional holiday lights. Six inches is the brightest and most seamless, and 16 inches gives a more defined, point-by-point look.
Which track profile will my home need?
JellyFish offers six profiles: Standard for flat soffits, Canted for angled soffits, Fat Track for narrow soffits, beams and pergolas, Z-Flashing for drip edges and wall caps, Madhav for homes with no soffit, and Radius for round structures. We choose the right one when we measure.
How much power do JellyFish lights use?
JellyFish rates each light at under one watt at full-brightness white, and the lights are dimmable, so running the system regularly adds very little to a typical electric bill.
Does JellyFish work with Alexa or Google Home?
JellyFish states that its app integrates with Alexa, Google Home, Control4 and Nice-Elan, and you can control your lights from anywhere with an internet connection.
Can JellyFish lights move to music?
Yes, with the JellyFish Music Box add-on. It reacts to music through a built-in microphone or a direct audio connection, and you adjust movement, speed, color and pattern in the app.
